Educating tomorrow's leaders has always been a top priority for our citizens. From preschool toddlers to retirees who wish to learn a new skill, our area schools continue to meet demands for a quality education.

The Parents-As-Teachers Program is available to the parents of all children ages one to four years old. This program is a great asset for preparing our children for the elementary schools. Once in the public school system, we nurture our children's progress. Each of our schools is staffed with a counselor, physical education teacher, art teacher, music teacher, librarian, and a full-time nurse. The GATE (Gifted and Talented Education) program is designed for accelerated students and we have Chapter 1 for the educationally disadvantaged. Our school district is dedicated to providing an appropriate education to all physically and mentally handicapped, and learning disabled children.
The High Schools in Saline County provide a balance of required and elective courses in academic, fine/practical arts, and vocational studies. Advanced placement programs are also available to high school students through our local colleges.
Marshall High School is currently participating in the state funded A+ Program. Students who have met the established criteria will have the opportunity to attend any Community College, Vocational or Technical School full-time, with tuition, fees and books provided free of charge.
