Project Footprint is a community development effort aimed at reconnecting area alumni to Saline County: we help our citizens get in touch with their roots. Furthermore, because we can network our alumni into the business community, we hope that more alumni participation will mean new businesses, more high-skilled jobs, and a reason for our citizens to come back home.
There are six services for our former citizens, graduates, and reunion coordinators, and they are all free:
Anyone who is a past or present student of Saline County's school districts (regardless of whether you graduated). We have four public schools, Marshall, Slater, Malta Bend, and Sweet Springs. There are also a variety of other private schools in the area, some of which no longer exist.
Graduates of Marshall, Slater, Sweet Springs, Malta Bend, or any other area High Schools in Saline County (past and present) can assist their reunion coordinators by regsitering at the link below. If you are interested in business assistance and the community newsletter, please indicate it on the registration page.
Reunion Organizers interested in any of our services should contact MSDC either through email, phone, or filling out registration form (click below). We will schedule a meeting time to discuss details and needs. Once the reunion organizer and MSDC agree on an action plan, it will be formalized in a Contract For Service and you'll be on your way! Again, these services are of no charge and are offered to encourage community involvement, so please take advantage of them and get our community connected!
The Project Footprint Newsletter is a publication put out by MSDC for alumni of high schools in the county and citizens in the community at large. The newsletter includes highlights on new developments, school news, an events calendar, and spotlights on people making a difference in our community. Click on an issue to view it in PDF form.
Issues: spring 11
At the request of some of our alumni clients, we have added a directory page that lists places to eat, stay, and hold events in the county. We have compiled this information in the hope that it will make it easier and more efficient for alumni organizers to prepare events. Please visit our Community References for more information.

Why footprint? Simple! By following the tracks of those who blaze trails and providing the first steps for those beginning to embark, Project Footprint aims to converge multiple paths that will ultimately create a new way for Saline County. (It's a giant pun!)
