By engaging the youth in entrepreneurial education, we cultivate sustained vitality in both our economy and our population: the youth of today are the pioneers and patrons of tomorrow. Through sponsored competitions, partnerships with existing businesses and schools, and the allocation of educational material, we can afford aspiring entrepreneurs a wealth of opportunities they never knew they had right here at home. This instills a sense of involvement, pride, and responsibility about one's hometown, and establishes our youth as intelligent and hopeful stakeholders in keeping the economy and quality of life robust.
The Youth Outreach efforts of MSDC are geared toward building partnerships and capacity within the community to increase awareness, interest, and opportunities in entrepreneurship for young people. By aiding in developing and delivering entrepreneurship curriculum, coordinating volunteers, seeking funding sources, and matching those identified as aspiring entrepreneurs with resources that can help them launch their business ideas, we hope to show children the enjoyable and rewarding possibilities being an entrepreneur can offer.
Also, be sure to check out the Resources link to the left that will lead you to many online resources, some of which are specifically designed for young business people.
